Hi everyone! My name is Kelsi Dempster and I am the Director of New Member Education for Alpha Phi Zeta Epsilon here at Indiana University Southeast! I am an Elementary Education major with hopes of teaching Kindergarten one day! I went to Floyd Central High School in Floyds Knobs, Indiana and currently live in New Albany with several of my Alpha Phi sisters!
I chose to go Greek because I was looking for an amazing group of friends to learn, grow, and share with and that is exactly what I have found here in Alpha Phi! I wouldn't trade any of the moments with my sisters for anything! As Director of New Member Education I am in charge of welcoming the new members into Alpha Phi and educating them on our values, sisterhood, our history, and much more! I love my position because I get to spend so much time with the newest Phi Bears and get to know them in such a great way! I love watching them grow into strong, involved sisters!
Alpha Phi has given me the confidence to be a strong leader not only within our chapter but on campus, in class and in the workplace. It has also allowed me to develop strong relationships and contacts to help me within my major as well as other aspects of life. I strongly encourage everyone to go through recruitment find their home, just as I have found mine!
Panhellenic Council members, recruitment counselors, and other sorority women in our Greek community will be blogging throughout the summer months to help potential members prepare for recruitment.
