Hi there! My name is Brooke White and I am an Alpha Phi at Indiana University Southeast. I never imagined that I would join a sorority coming into college, but it has become one of the most rewarding experiences in my life so far. My freshman year of college, I signed up for formal recruitment and chickened out the weekend of and decided not to rush. My best friend continued through the recruitment process and became a member of Alpha Phi. Soon after recruitment, my best friend started hanging out with more and more people in greek life and I was always tagging along. I couldn’t believe the amount of people she knew and the fact that she always had her Alpha Phi sisters to hang out with. I joined Alpha Phi in the spring semester of 2012 because I wanted to be a part of the sisterhood I could see that she loved. My only regret is that I didn’t join sooner. The people you meet, the bonds you create, the memories you share, and the skills that you acquire will last a lifetime. As current chapter president, I can say with confidence that I would not have been as successful in college if it wasn’t for Alpha Phi. Alpha Phi strives for excellence in philanthropy, sisterhood, community service, scholarship, and campus involvement. Without the love and support from my sisters, I would not be the same person I am today. Alpha Phi is forever a part of me and I would not trade my experience for the world.
