I am Catie Sorrell, and I am this year's Panhellenic's Internal Vice President. I am so excited to get to know you all better as Recruitment grows closer! Recruitment weekend is so much fun and is filled with so many memories! Sorority life has allowed me to grow mentally and emotionally. I never thought I was the typical "sorority girl", but I decided to give it a chance anyways, because what else could I loose? Going through recruitment was one of the most exciting times thus far in my college career. I have made so many good friends in and out of my own sorority. Sorority Life pushes you to become the best version for yourself. I wasn't the stereotypical sorority girl and I pushed myself outside of my comfort zone forcing myself to take on roles and responsibilities that I never thought that I would have. Before Greek Life, I was the girl who had only a small amount of friends, an introverted person, and one to never have an important role because I was so shy and quiet. After becoming Greek, I can honestly say that I am more outspoken and am able to stand up for what I believe in. Having a support system with a group of women is a great thing to have! Knowing that you will have a sister at any time of the day is reassuring.

Panhellenic Council members, recruitment counselors, and other sorority women in our Greek community will be blogging throughout the summer months to help potential members prepare for recruitment.
